corner view, "where to reflect"

This is the window's kitchen of my holiday home, and my favorite spot: A peaceful valley, the swallows that seems to dive into the kitchen, a basket with fresh eggs my neighbor generously gave it to me... And while I cook or taste a cup of coffee looking at all this beauty, I think why people runs after so many futile and superflous things like career, luxury cars, superexpensive jewels or furs...Life could be better if we stop for a while and reflect about how much the little things give us and how little we need to fill our "bare necessities"...

Lovely window.
Yes, I agree with you so completely about living and being contented with Life's "bare necessities". I remember being really strapped for cash just a few years ago (my husband was just a poor student then, and I was not allowed to work); we were poor, but happy. It has taught me to be frugal, like what I am today.

So wise and so true! I am at a point in my life where I want to empty my family of all the material things we have and just enjoy the simple.

oh, juanita, how beautiful. i often think that same thing about stripping life down to the most simple. living in nyc and having a bit of a crazy life, well, i don't always stick with the essential. some of us are less evolved than you are, i'm afraid.

I love all your corner views - I recommend everyone look at the large version since there's a fabulous old building (farm house?) in the distance on the hill. Wonderful tile roof as well.
